it's weird how one single decision can change our lives so much. how sometimes we are too caught up in the moment to think things through enough, and then we find ourselves wishing that we could go back in time and change the way we have handled things. decisions tend to surround us in our everyday lives: should i have toast or eggs for breakfast? should i sleep or pay attention in class? should i buy the green shirt or the pink one? most choices are so little and easy for us to make, we don't even consider them as decisions. but what happens when one of those big ones hits you in the face? and what's more, what happens when you find yourself making the wrong choice?
   this past weekend, i found myself making one of the worst decisions in my entire life. i am thankful that things turned out okay, but i would definitely go back and change things if i could. like in the show, serena would have done anything to go back and change what she did with nate. i am sure eric regrets his suicide attempt. vanessa regrets leaving new york - and the list goes on. it just goes to show you that life is just plain tough sometimes and a lot of the time it is hard to see the plus side of our bad choices. that overwhelming sense of regret seems to take over our emotional selves, and all seems hopeless. eventually we do see that things turn out okay, but it just goes to show how one little decision might affect our entire lives. in my opinion, we all just need to be reminded from time to time that everything does happen for a reason.
